Welcome to my first blog! Here I will be discussing various topics in horse care, riding, training, product reviews, and general rambles about life with my two horses. I plan on sharing with you what it is like to be a second year full-time graduate student who works 25 hours a week, owns two horses and a dog, who attempts to maintain a close family connection, and somewhere in the mix have a social life. Let me tell you, it is not always easy! But it is well worth it.
As any horse owner knows, owning a horse is much like having a child. If they are hurt or sick, you are hurt or sick, if they are unhappy chances are you are unhappy as well… Although I do not have children of my own, I know what it is like to be a mother to animals. It is a lot of work but can be very rewarding when your animals are healthy, happy, and performing at their best.
I hope to use this site to share what it is like to be a horse owner and a young adult trying to figure out where I fit into the professional world and still remain active in the equestrian community.
